Add Some Pizazz at ZaZ

Foods and Foodways in a Global World

We are excited to announce that our event at ZaZ Restaurant was a wonderful success! We were joined by many people, both strong supporters of Primary Source as well as new friends to the organization for an evening of food and conversation around “Foods and Foodways in a Global World” and to experience the Caribbean-Latin-Asian fusion cuisine of Chef Olrie Roberts.

Tuesday, May 24, 2022
5:45pm-8:30pm
ZaZ Restaurant
1238 River Street, Hyde Park, MA 02136

Chef Olrie Roberts (Chef O), ZaZ Restaurant

Chef O offered remarks about the global influences in his cooking and his culinary inspiration. Chef O’s mantra is “obsession equals greatness” and his obsession with food and cooking has fueled his drive to explore new flavors, and palettes, and to share his love of cooking with Boston.

Dr. Dan Osborn, Primary Source

Dr. Dan Osborn, Program Director at Primary Source, spoke on A Taste of World History, with a focus on coffee, tea, and chocolate and how these commodities connect to the ebbs and flows of world history. His stories entertained and informed with thought-provoking ideas about these commodities and their relevance to world regions, including Africa, Mesoamerica, and China.
