Do you offer graduate credit?
Yes, we offer graduate credit for multi-week live courses and online courses. Webinars and one-day workshops are not eligible for graduate credit but participants will receive PDPs for their particpation. Credits are issued through Framingham State Universite, but all registration materials, coursework, and assignments are handled by Primary Source.
Are your programs only for Social Studies/History teachers?
No! Educators from across grade levels and subject areas find Primary Source programs useful and engaging. Our Essential Courses are designed with diverse educators in mind and include breakout sessions and resources for a wide range of disciplines.
Where do your programs run?
We run our programs from locations around the Greater Boston area, as well as offer a range of online programs that are open to educators around the world. In addition, we offer Custom Services that we bring directly to your district.
Can I access Primary Source resources even if I don’t sign up for a course?
Yes! Visit our For Teachers page for resource guides and curriculum ideas about many global topics. Sign up for Primary Source Online and gain access to our entire digital library of resource guides, teacher toolkits, and curriculum activities.
What is partnership and how do I get my school/district signed up?
A Global Learning Partnership gives schools and districts the benefit of reserved seats in courses, library membership, and access to special programs and resources. Some partnership packages include customized full-day or half-day workshops. Our partners join a network of schools and communities who are committed to K-12 global education. Contact Sara Clamage at sara@primarysource.org or (617) 356-1407 to learn more.
When does partnership start? How long does it last?
You may choose to begin partnership on July 1 or September 1. Partnerships run for 12 months regardless of the starting date.
Do you offer customized services?
Yes! Our additional services include personalized consulting services from our expert staff, private online courses for educators in your community, customized webinars, and regional one-day programs. Additional seats may be purchased to supplement any partnership package. Learn more about our Custom Services or contact Deborah Cunningham at deborah@primarysource.org or (617) 804-2352.
Can I take a Primary Source course if my school is not a partner?
Absolutely! While educators in partnership schools and districts get priority when registering, a number of seats are available in each course for educators who work in other districts. Contact Sara Clamage at sara@primarysource.org with your registration request.
