Tailored In-District School Workshops
Our expert staff will come to your school and present a customized half-day or full-day workshop on a global topic of your choice. Some of our most popular workshops include:
- Globalizing your school and/or curricula
We’ll help guide your staff in promoting diverse perspectives, global understanding, and cultural proficiency across disciplines. Workshops often include keynote speakers and small groups discussion sessions. Read about the work we’ve done with The Winsor School to help promote global competencies.
- Developing global resources for your classroom
We’ll highlight a variety of classroom-ready tools and resources to help connect your students to cultures and classrooms across the world, enhance cultural awareness, and strengthen critical thinking and literacy skills.
- Meeting literacy skills through hands-on learning
We’ll introduce exercises on close-reading skills or the use of informational texts to help your school meet ELA standards. Read about the work we’ve done with Bedford Public Schools to help their students think like historians.
Private Online Courses
Choose from our signature 4-week or 8-week online courses, and fill your private course with educators from your own community. No need to check the current course schedule for availability. Browse our complete list of online offerings now. A private online course requires a minimum of 20 educators.
Collaborate with Primary Source staff to create a one-hour online seminar on the topic of your choice. The seminar could be made available to an unlimited number of teachers and administrators in your school or district.
Let us help you globalize your school or district. Our expert staff will work with you to identify global learning goals and embed global perspectives and themes into your curriculum while building vital skills. Our consulting services address a spectrum of school needs, from deepening particular dimensions of global practice to creating system-wide, coordinated change.
Global Competency Reviews
We view our 360-degree diagnostic review as the first step in a conversation about how to advance global education in your school or district. Our self-assessment tool helps target areas for growth for your school’s or district’s approach to global education. After you examine your existing practices and resources, we will provide a framework for advancing global education in your local setting, and will consult with you about how to move it forward.
Regional One-Day Programs
We’ll come to your town to offer a one-day workshop on a topic of your choice. Invite neighboring towns or fill the course with your own teachers. A regional one-day program requires a minimum of 20 educators.
